As a percussionist, Leigh plays numerous drums (congas, bongos, djembe, cajon), tambourine, Latin Percussion (LP) instruments (guiros, cabasas, claves, maracas, agogo bell) as well as a "Key of Z" zydeco rubboard tie, diatonic African flute, and Japanese kokiriko.
